Curriculum vitae
Scott Walker
Product designer. Chester, UK.
What I do
I design products with more options than a customer can hold in their head, and I design the research that decides which version ships. Recently that has meant multi-market preference testing, a conversational AI advisor built with an external agency, and a website replatform delivered across thirteen markets.
I also build agent tooling around my own practice — competitor research, developer handoffs with acceptance criteria and translation workbooks, research playbacks, and an automated persona suite for testing conversational products.
Selected work
Each of these is written up in full, with the decisions, the rejected options and the evidence.
2026
Eurocamp · multi-market research
- Designed the 3.0 templates, then designed and ran the study that tested them
- 365 completed responses, five markets, four languages
- Separated preference from comprehension — and found one component where they disagreed
- Outcome: a six-phase gated rollout instead of a single release
2025 – 26
Camille, the AI holiday advisor
Eurocamp with Brighter Design · conversational AI
- Co-designed function, interface, onboarding and the avatar; wrote no production code
- V1 live since July 2025: 510 bookings, £542,562 tracked revenue, roughly £15 returned per £1 spent
- Proposed and specified the automated persona-driven testing suite
- Held the seam between Eurocamp security, data protection and analytics and the agency
2023
The Eurocamp replatform — design
Eurocamp · SDL Tridion to Storyblok
- Set the design direction against an expiring platform licence; cut over with four months to spare
- Migrated the team’s prototyping from Axure to Figma mid-build, self-initiated
- Held the product-owner gap without the title
2023
The Eurocamp replatform — delivery
Eurocamp · thirteen markets, eight languages
- Coordinated acceptance testing across the UK, NL, DE and PL teams
- Ran weekly defect triage with the CMO against risk, impact and effort
- Built the CMS content model and trained the market content teams
- Rollout gated on conversion rate at every step rather than on a date
Experience
projects/, so there is nothing on disk with employers, titles or dates in it. Six lines will finish this page:
- Employer, exact job title and dates — Eurocamp / European Camping Group, and whether the title changed from UX Designer to Product Designer along the way
- The same for whoever you were with before Eurocamp — the set-top box work (Dish Mexico, IPVOD, 9vision, Inview Console, Inview AppCurrent, PushVOD)
- The same for the Tenant Shop and The Power Trust period
- Al Fresco Holidays — same employer as Eurocamp, or separate?
- Education, if you want it on here
DATES TBC
